Derek Jeter Trivia!
Derek Jeter has said he only wants Bob Sheppard to announce him to the plate. He’s said he loves the intro “The Shortstop, number 2, Derek Jeter, number 2″. Now that Bob is not announcing this season all the other players get announced by the fill-in announcer except when Jeter comes up. A Bob Sheppard recording announces Jeter.

What is your take on this? Is Jeter pompous? Or is this a tribute to a Yankee legend?

I believe it is perfectly fine and not a big deal at all.

Jeter has a Hall of Fame resume including 4 world series rings, countless clutch hits and afterall, he is the Captain of the New York Yankees.
