I tried, with many failures, some different techniques. this was one of the successes, I think.

this is Ben Spies going by at about 160mph, I’d guess. shot through a flag break in the fencing. panned with a little lag so that the bike blurs a little.

I think I got about 60 of these that didn’t work at all. it was fun trying though. I’m short, so to reach the gap in the fence I had to perch on a beer cooler (open, because the lid was broken) and spin around rapidly to follow the bikes.

I was trying for that old-timey look where the wheels turn into ovals. not sure if I got that anywhere yet, still wading through several thousand shots.

Anyone else notice that the panda heads on Ben Stiller’s suit were replaced with baby heads in tropic thunder? It was the scene for the “action” guy standing on a snow covered mountain. I remember some previews showing panda heads, but the actual movie showed human baby heads (alive of course). Anyone know the reason why lol?
