Jan. 1 — Florida State knocked off West Virginia 33-21 in the Gator Bowl in the final game of Bobby Bowden’s storied 44-year career as a head coach. Bowden finished with a 389-129-4 record and a 33rd consecutive winning season.

Since 2008, only 3 players beat Serena on fast courts (hard and grass):
Jankovic, at the 2008 AO
Venus, at the 2008 Wimbledon
Clijsters, at the 2009 US Open
I think the players of the WTA should use drop shots against Serena. Not to try to over-power her. Cause it seems like everyone she plays tries to rally with her.

Well, there is a reason she’s the best woman on tour…
Drop-shots would win her opponents a few points, but they are less effective on grass and hard-courts than they are on clay. Also, Serena is very fast and has incredible court-sense. Drop-shotting her would only work a few times, she would start to see them coming and run to the net to take them as vollies.
The best way to beat Serena is the same way to beat anyone: Train like hell.
