James Patterson Trivia!
I’ve recently got into reading some of James Patterson’s books, and I’ve realized that he co-writes a good amount of them. I don’t mean to jump to conclusions, but does the “co-writer” actually write the entire book, acting as a ghost writer? I’ve heard that some celebrities do this, because it’s the name that sells, not the actual books.

Answer by goodiegoodie
I work in a bookstore and James Patterson has basically become a joke to us. A really well selling joke but still a joke.

We are constantly asked:

“When will the next James Patterson book come out?”

And at this point the answer is pretty much 3 months maybe less. They are like Harlequin series romance novels where they release 6 every month. The time between each release has gotten shorter and shorter over the years. He can’t possibly be writing them or even planning what they will be about. He has become a brand name like when someone asks me where Star Wars or Harlequin Blaze are.
