Blindside was a great movie/story, but why do I hear this all the time:

“OMG I respect Sandra Bullock SO much for what she did in Blindside”

she’s just an actress and she didn’t DO anything!

Well, she went totally against any character she has ever played, studied the real-life character, nailed her PERFECTLY, and delivered an Oscar-worthy performance. So, whether you liked her performance or not, she did a tidy little piece of acting, and it IS her time to shine….In fact she acted so well, she BECAME the character, which TO YOU made it look like she wasn’t DOING ANYTHING….

So, Bravo, Sandra Bullock!
