Michael Bay Trivia!
Good idea? Bad idea? What do you think and why?

Answer by ?
I am not sure that it’s a good idea that he is in the frame for producing the movie. His previous production efforts include the remakes of the horror movies “The Amityville Horror” and “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre”; both were pretty poor, in my opinion.

Having said that, remakes are generally poor no matter who produces/directs them; I think this is particularly true when the original movie has a favourable following. Those types of people hardly want to see a remake, because they question why make a new version when the original was good. Generally, I think that it’s difficult to imagine a remake being better. Judging by what I’ve read, Michael Bay isn’t the most liked person in the movie industry so it will be easier to criticise his work if the remake turns out poor.
