I find this to be an interesting quote by Johnny Depp, but I don’t think I fully understand what it means. Can anyone please explain it to me? Thnx.

Well, in the first statement he is comparing America to a puppy, in the sense that it has strengh and power, but doesn’t know how to control or use it properly. The second statement about his kids is him explaining how he hopes to have his kids recognize this problem with America and grow up to do something about it.
